Code of Conduct

Our Purpose

Our running club exists to create a friendly, inclusive, and supportive environment for all runners. We welcome people who are here to run, socialize, and enjoy being part of a community.

Participation in our runs is a privilege, and by showing up, all participants agree to follow this Code of Conduct.

Expected Behavior

All participants are expected to:

  • Be respectful and welcoming

  • Support a non-competitive environment

  • Respect personal boundaries

  • Use appropriate language and behavior

  • Look out for one another

  • Follow guidance from run organizers

  • Have fun!

Unacceptable Behavior

The following is not permitted at club activities or related social gatherings:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind

  • Unwelcome sexual attention, comments, or physical contact

  • Bullying, aggressive behavior, or repeated unwanted interactions

This applies before, during, and after runs, including at start/end locations and related social settings or adjacent activities.

Expected Behavior

Don't be a dick!

Consequences

The purpose of these guidelines is to maintain a safe environment for everyone:

  • Organizers may ask someone to leave a run or not return in the future

  • Severe or repeated violations may result in a permanent exclusion from group activities

Final Note

We want this club to be a place where people feel comfortable showing up, running at their own pace, and coming back week after week. If you’re unsure whether something is appropriate, err on the side of kindness and respect.
